Fire Safety at Kingsmoor Park
Thames Valley Housing are deeply saddened by the tragic incident at Grenfell Tower and our thoughts are with all those affected by this terrible incident.
We would like to reassure our residents that we take great care to ensure all our properties are fully compliant with fire, building and safety standards.
We have a comprehensive fire risk assessment and equipment servicing programme for all buildings where we are responsible for fire safety.
Currently national investigations are underway to identify where Aluminium Composite Material cladding panels (ACM) are installed. Where there is uncertainty about the type of metal cladding panel installed a sample of the panel can be sent for testing. Samples would only be taken where there is a metal cladding and there is some uncertainty as to whether it is an ACM.
Kingsmoor Park has some areas of cladding, however all these areas are clad in a cement board which is non-combustible material and not a cladding system that is linked to the Grenfell Tower fire or subject to testing. As cement board is non-combustible we do not have concerns about its use at Kingsmoor Park.
